Adulting Got You Down?
Then let's hit that reset button and play like we've got nothing to lose (except boredom, that is...)
Introducing the Awkward Adult's Guide to Child's Play (Fall Edition) Challenge - where healing meets play, and life gets a whole lot more magical (and hopefully a little weird too)!
Warning: This 30-Day Challenge May Cause Extreme Joy, Laughter, and Shenanigans.
All prompts are designed to get you playing, giggling, and stretching that big, beautiful imagination of yours.
All exercises are included to make life feel more like fun than “work” and take back your long-lost sparkle.
All challenges are intended to lovingly stretch you out of your comfort zone in the best way possible.
Once upon a time, you used to have fun...
Remember that?
Remember when you used to be carefree, playful, and a little mischievous? When you didn’t worry about whether you were “good enough” or if you were doing what you should be doing? Somewhere along the way, life threw all these rules at you, telling you how you’re "supposed" to act and who you're "supposed" to be. So, you did what any grown-up would do—you started adulting (ew, right?).
But deep down, you still long for those days of fun, creativity, and connection with the real you. I totally get it, because I was you.
As a creative, witchy, misfit myself, I know what it's like to feel like life has sucked out the fun and magic. I know what it's like to feel like the world has completely beaten you down into submission and conformity. I know what it's like to feel completely lost inside and like there is no hope left. I’ve spent years healing the relationship with myself, breaking free of all the "shoulds" and "supposed to's." And now, I’m here to help you do the same. But we’re going to do it the fun way—by playing our way to healing!
So, are you ready to take the Awkward Adult's Guide to Child's Play (Fall Edition) Challenge and have fun again?!
The Struggle is Real
Any of this sound familiar?
You wake up every day and go through the motions, ticking off boxes of what you’re "supposed to" do—work, responsibilities, rinse, repeat. Life feels predictable like there’s no spark of excitement or joy. Deep down, you wonder if this is all there is.
There’s always something on your to-do list, and the weight of it makes you feel like you’re drowning. Your energy is drained, and your creativity feels nonexistent. You can’t remember the last time you felt truly excited about anything—it’s all just a grind.
You believe there’s no time for fun or play because you’re an adult, and that’s “childish.” So, you keep pushing it aside for more important, "productive" things, but you feel something’s missing. Life feels too serious and, honestly, kind of boring.
You used to have a wild imagination, always brimming with ideas, but now? You feel creatively blocked, uninspired, and out of touch with the part of you that once loved to create. Every time you sit down to try, it feels forced or like the magic is gone.
End the struggle with the Awkward Adult's Guide to Child's Play (Fall Edition) challenge...
Here's what's waiting on the other side...
When you heal your inner child, you rediscover the joy of living in the moment. You start doing things because they make you feel alive, not because you’re obligated. Suddenly, life feels more vibrant, and you find yourself making decisions that light you up rather than weigh you down.
Inner child work helps you release the stress that comes from over-managing your life. By giving yourself permission to play, you create space for inspiration and creativity to flow naturally. You start feeling lighter, more energized, and able to face challenges with a playful perspective.
When you reconnect with your inner child, you reconnect with the pieces that are unapologetically you. You start finding joy in small moments, and play becomes a vital part of your life. It shifts your mindset, showing you that fun isn’t a luxury—it’s essential to your well-being.
Inner child work rekindles that creative spark by helping you remember the joy of creating just for fun. By tapping back into your playful nature, ideas start flowing again, and creating feels less like a chore and more like an adventure. So, you'll do more of what sets your soul on fire.
In case you don't know me yet...
Hey there! I'm Becky, the main awkward alchemist at Awkward Alchemy. I'm a self-relationship and empowerment alchemist helping creative, witchy, misfits heal their relationships with themselves and reconnect with their true inner magic so they can ditch the should/supposed to bullshit they've been told to follow and create a life that feels aligned, authentic, and fulfilling to who they really are. And, psssst...we do it all messy and awkward AF because that’s how healing and inner work really feels!
I'm also a mental illness warrior and a neurodivergent unicorn. Developing a healthy relationship with myself has literally saved my life, improved my mental health, allowed me to heal deep inner wounds, and go after dreams that I never thought I would. So, now I feel like it's my mission to help other badass women do the same for their own lives!
The Awkward Adult's Guide to Child's Play Challenge is a whole seasonal series!
Whaaaaaat?
Yep, that's right - there are Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring (coming soon!) editions of this 30-day challenge. Each edition features activities that are themed for the specific season referenced. So, the Fall Edition includes 30 days of playfully fall-inspired exercises that'll have you playing in the autumnal land of make-believe before you know it. I also try to do my best to keep away from any specific holiday related activities so that it (hopefully) won't change anything whether you live in the Northern or Southern Hemispheres.
So, if you're ready to fall for fall then join the Awkward Adult's Guide to Child's Play (Fall Edition) and let's play, laugh, heal, and watch the autumn magic unfold together!
I try to include a variety of activities so that there is bound to be something for everyone to have fun with! Inside the challenge you'll find some of the following: arts & crafts, activities that require you to play pretend, outdoor activities, indoor activities, physical activities, chill activities, and so much more - honestly, some activities are just plain hard to categorize. But, no matter what the actual activity is, there's really only one thing that matters throughout this challenge and that is that you have FUN!
So, I highly encourage you to make every activity your own by checking in with your inner child, using your imagination, and kicking your awkward adult brain to the curb...and, if you struggle with that, then you're in luck because that's exactly what this challenge is meant to help you with!
While this originally started as an email challenge, now upon purchase everything will be housed in your (Fall) Awkward Adult's Guide to Child's Play Challenge course portal. It's a 30-day challenge and each day a new child's play activity will be unlocked for your awkward adult's enjoyment. And even though this isn't an email challenge anymore, the system will still send you an email notification letting you know as soon as each day's content is unlocked so you don't need to remember every single day (because we all have enough to remember, am I right?).
Now, if you've never purchased a course or product from me since I've moved to this new system then you'll receive some brand-spanking-new login info upon signing up and you'll get instant access to the "Welcome" section where you'll find a little bit more about what to expect, as well as some extra lil' goodies I made just for this challenge. And, if an account was already created for you previously then you can just use your current login info.
Hope to play with you in the challenge!
